9-29-14 Class

Today in Human Geo we had a substitute. Our substitute today was Mrs. Amato. We watched a video on Population Pyramids. One thing I learned is that Russia and Nigeria has the same population. But not for long because one population is rapidly growing while the other is slowly declining. Another thing I learned about is that Population statistics is important information to Social scientists has to work with. Complex data is easier to comprehend by visualization. A way they make the information easier to read is a population pyramid. The pyramid is separated by gender and is divided into every five year intervals. The pyramid starts at 0-4 and ends at 100 and up. The pyramid is divided into pre- reproductive years which is the ages 0-14, reproductive ages 15-44, and post reproductive ages 45- 100+. Another thing we did in your class today is take a quiz that is on your blog. The answers are below.

1)     A

2)     D

3)     C

4)     A
