9-12-14 Class

In today’s class we talked about several topics. The first thing we talked about was Globalization. Globalization is the connection to the other parts of the world. It results from the expansion of international culture, economic, and political activities. Globalization is not a phenomenon that has just been invented. It has been around for quite a while. The other thing we talked about today in class is about Americanization. Americanization of other countries are also driven by cultural items. In North Korea, there is no American things in their country. Japan did not have American fast food restaurants, but than a few years later they started to be built in Japan. Before Japan added the fast food restaurants, the life span for people in Japan was longer than after they added the fast food restaurants. In China, they have restaurants like Mc Donalds and KFC, but the building is designed like China’s architecture. There are many countries in the world that have the American fast food restaurant.
