10-8-14 Class


Today in Human Geo we reviewed for the test. One thing we talked we is crude birth rate. That is the rate people are born per 1,000.  The rate for the US is 13.42 births per 1,000. We are ranked #150 in comparison to other countries. Another thing we talked about is crude death rate. The rate for the US is 8.15 deaths per 1,000. We are ranked #94 in comparison to other countries. Another thing that could be on the test is life expectancy. For the US, The life expectancy for males is 77.11 years old and for females is 81.94 years. We are ranked #42 in comparison with other countries. We also went over population pyramids. They are divided by gender. They are also divided into age groups of five. There are pre reproductive ages, reproductive ages, and post reproductive ages. Net migration rate could also be on the test. The migration rate for the US is 2.45 migrants per 1,000.
