10-3-14 Class

Today in Human Geo we did several of things. The first thing today is watch the JCTV News on YouTube. After that we watched this segment of a Show. We then talked about how we find out news about the U.S. and other countries. One way someone said was TV. We agreed that was a good way. Another way that you can do this is by reading the newspaper. Although these are good ways, some people in our class feels like that the news lies to us. Some ways they know they do is when that person was at an event and when they hear it on the news it is completely different. Also, some people said that is true sometimes, but also every once in a while they tell the truth. Even though they do that, you cannot tell when they tell truth and when they lie. So, we believe what we want to believe. Another thing we talked about our different views on different laws. Also, one person said that they think they are lying to us to protect us. Some people responded to that by saying they would rather know what is happening instead of them protecting us.
